1. Public & community Toilets

  • To eradicate the practice of open defection from the Noida and to provide better amenities to the public Noida authority have constructed 120 urinal blocks, 121 public toilets, 67 Community toilets. Special 16 Pink Toilets have been constructed for women. Noida Authority plans to construct more Pink toilets at various location of the city.
  • In the last Swacch sarvekshan the Central government has certified Noida with ODF++ Certification.

2. Cleaning by Mechanical sweeping scheme

  • Noida authority in its mission to provide pollution free environment has started project of cleaning the roads through mechanical machine. Daily 243 K.M. of road is cleaned by the three agencies, namely M/S CMSW Pvt. Limited, M/s Lion service M/s B.V.G. India Limited under the supervision of Public Health Department.
  • Night washing of roads is undertaken twice weekly to control dust pollution.
  • STP treated water is sprinkled regularly on dusty roads.
  • Interlocking tiles have been laid on road parties in front of markets and public places.

3. Bio-Methanization-plants

  • • Noida authority from 2017 is promoting decentralized waste processing and have established numerous bio methanization plant. Noida Authority support in terms of 75% capex and 20% of Capex from CSR support (if available) basis initial investment have been provided by the authority to motivate citizens.
  • Till date 16 composting plant and bio methanization plant have been established at numerous locations and they are fully functioning.
  • Composting plant produce while the Bio methanization plant produce Gas for cooking.

4. Dumpsite Remediation and Reclamation of Land:

  • Land at sector 54 is reclaimed and conversion of land into a wet land is currently in process
  • Sector-54 reclaimed site converted into a wetland, 1,00,000 MT of waste is remediated within 6 Months
  • About 5,00,000 MT of legacy waste has been processed through dumpsite remediation project at Sector 145 in 18 months’ timeline
  • Municipal Solid Waste is disposed by treatment using remediation technology in a scientific method.
  • After treatment the waste is converted into 20% RDF, 70% Compost and 7% Stone etc., rest 3% constitutes moisture.
  • Ensuring 100% implementation of Environmental Rule-Regulations.
  • Adjoining places of remediation plant will be pollution free as well as ground water table will also increase.
